In an interview with the New York Times, Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth shared his thoughts one whether or not he thinks Van Halen will ever tour again. The band has been on an extended hiatus since the completion of the 2015 tour, with a number of reports last year that Eddie Van Halen is being treated for throat cancer. Roth said “I don’t know that Eddie is ever really going to rally for the rigors of the road again, I don’t want to say I’ve waited, Eddie is a bandmate. We had a colleague down and he’s been down now for enough time that I don’t know that he’s going to be coming back out on the road. ou want to hear the classics? You’ll need to talk to him”. Last year Roth went on to resume solo performances with a residency in Las Vegas and when KISS hits the road again in 2021 for their End Of The Road Farewell Tour, Diamond Dave is booked to be their opening act.
