The surviving members of Soundgarden have filed a lawsuit against late lead singer Chris Cornell’s widow Vicky Cornell and the Chris Cornell Estate over the band’s participation in a 2019 tribute concert to the late singer. According to Rolling Stone the legal action was filed this week in a Miami US District Court and it accuses Vicky Cornell of “fraudulently t inducement” for allegedly using proceeds from the benefit concert for herself and her family after convincing Soundgarden to perform for free, telling them that all the proceeds from the show were going to charity. The surviving band members, who had not played together since Cornell’s 2017 suicide say that millions were raised and they have no idea where this money went but they believe it did not go to the charities they were told about when they agreed to play.
