In a new interview, David Lee Roth says that nothing ever came out of demos that Van Halen recored with Gene Simmons. In case you didn’t know about the Kiss legend’s connection to Van Halen, it was before Van Halen hit it big, they were playing in L.A. on the Sunset Strip at the Starwood Club when Gene Simmons stopped into the club and caught their set. Simmons was so impressed he offered to pay for studio time for Van Halen, so they flew to Electric Ladyland in New York City and recorded demo’s no fan has ever heard. Dave was asked about the demo’s since he’s opening for KISS on their next leg of the End Of The Road Tour, but Roth says he has no idea where the early VH demos are.
