KISS cofounder Gene Simmons says original drummer Peter Criss and founding guitarist Ace Frehely have both been invited to make a guest appearance on their End Of The Road Farewell Tour but that’s as far as Gene and Paul Stanley are willing to reunite with the former members. Simmons said in a recent interview that Criss and Frehely were as important as anyone else in the early days of KISS and they have been invited to be on stage at some point on the tour, but Gene added that they could not do the whole tour with Ace Freheley and Peter Criss because they are, in his view, completely undependable. Gene complimented current KISS members Eric Singer on drums and Tommy Thayer on guitar. Gene said they have played with everybody, Brian May, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, you name it and for these guys the tour is a labor of love. They show up on time, do the work and are thrilled to meet the fans. As Gene put it quote “other KISS members without naming names, have been. miserable”. I think we know who he was talking about! KISS will be in Denver Thursday, September 12th at the Pepsi Center and 96.1 K-STAR will have your tickets! Listen to win!
