This past Wednesday would have been Tom Petty’s 70th birthday and in honor of this, his estate has put together a huge line up of music stars for a 5 hour tribute this Friday night. (Oct 23rd) The Foo Fighters, Jacob Dylan (Bob Dylan’s son), George Harrison’s widow Olivia and son Dhani (they were close friends with Petty), Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench from the Heartbreakers lead the line up of dozens of big name bands and celebrities telling stories and playing Tom’s music. It’s all a benefit for charitable organizations close to Tom Petty’s heart like Music Cares and others.
