Deep Purple have completed work on a new studio album in Nashville with famed producer Bob Ezrin. The new record follows the band’s 2017 studio album “Infinite” which was also produced by Ezrin. Ian Gillan told the amazing story of how the members of Deep Purple were somehow all in Nashville at the same time. He wrote that it was late March and he was renting an Airbnb called the Rose River Cottage on the bank of the Cumberland River, almost directly opposite of the Grand Ole Opry from where quaint music would drift across the water into the wee hours of the morning and it just so happened that across town other members of Deep Purple were vacationing together and when we found out we were all in Nashville we wondered what had drawn us together in this place and time. It was a total coincidence and unbelievably the exact thing happened a few years earlier when we spawned the ideas for the Infinite album.
