Mick Jagger is reissuing his catalog of solo albums on vinyl just in time for Christmas shopping. The series of records includes 1985’s She’s The Boss, 1987’s Primitive Cool, 1993’s Wandering Sprit and 2001’s Goddess In The Doorway. The heavyweight 180-gram black vinyl editions have been newly remastered from analogue tape transfers via the Half Speed Mastering system at London’s Abbey Road Studios. This high audio definition. remastering treatment, which creates the finest audio quality vinyl pressings available,. was recently used for all the albums in the box set “The Rolling Stones Studio Albums Vinyl Collection 1971-2016. Jagger released various projects in his own name earlier in his career, but after his cameo on The Jacksons’ 1984 single “State Of Shock” it was 1985’s She’s The Boss that officially launched his solo album series. Recorded at Compass Point in the Bahamas, it was produced by Jagger along with Nile Rodgers and featured guests Jeff Beck, Pete Townsend and Herbie Hancock. That album includes the single “Just Another Night” which hit #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs chart and #12 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Jagger’s album Primitive Cool was recorded in the Netherlands and Barbados, 1993’s Wandering Spirit saw Jagger team with legendary producer Rick Rubin and included guests Lenny Kravitz, Flea from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Benmont Tench from Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Billy Preston. That album went gold in America. Jagger’s most recent solo LP is 2001’s Goddess In The Doorway and was co produced by Jagger and his longtime collaborator Matt Clifford. Lenny Kravitz also guested on this album along with Bono from U2 and Pete Townsend. That album also included the single “Visions Of Paradise” co-written by Matchbox 20’s Rob Thomas. All of the remastered Mick Jagger albums will be in stores and online Friday, December 6th.
