***ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME 2020 BALLOT IS OUT***

The official Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2020 Nominees list is out and here are the 16 bands/musicians that made it onto the list:

One band that believes that they are being blacklisted (according to Nikki Sixx’s Twitter Feed, you can read it there I am SURE he will tell everyone all about it now that this list is out!!!) is Motley Crue, who once again, is not on the list of nominees. It is speculated by members of the band, that because of their raucous behavior that they are known for they are not being included. I will leave that up to you to decide for yourselves. But aren’t just about all rock bands known for their wild, crazy, & raucous behavior in some form or fashion?? I’m just asking for a friend (LOL!).

You can vote daily now until January 10, 2020. You can select up to 5 Nominees daily to build your ballot. The top 5 artists at the end of the Fan Vote will comprise the “Fan’s Ballot” and will each receive an additional official vote in the overall process.

***Here is the biggest problem I have with this nominee list: Although Whitney Houston was an amazing singer in every sense of the word, she is NOT Rock ‘N’ Roll.  Nine Inch Nails has their fans (me not being one of them) however, they are NOT Rock ‘N’Roll. Rufus is clearly 70’s funk/disco, and NOT Rock ‘N’ Roll. Depeche Mode is new wave/alternative and certainly NOT Rock ‘N’ Roll. And The Notorious B.I.G??? Not even close to Rock N Roll. Is Soundgarden and Grunge considered a form of Rock N Roll?? In my opinion, I would say yes. However, I would sooner vote for Little Richard and Steeler’s Wheel then the 5 I have listed before Soundgarden.

So here are my FIVE selections based on selecting ROCK ‘N’ ROLL bands to the ROCK ‘N’ ROLL Hall of Fame in no particular order: Pat Benatar (because she is an amazing singer and she’s mega-hot, just sayin’!!), Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Doobie Brothers, and Soundgarden.
