Very sad news this morning, Eddie Money has passed away. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer last fall which had spread to his stomach, limph nodes and liver. he was currently in a private rehabilitation facility recovering from minor heart surgery he had last month for a condition that was not related to the cancer. Money’s career spanned over 40 years. He left his career as a New York City cop to become a singer and in 1977 hit it big with his debut self titled album containing the hits “Two Tickets To Paradise” and “Baby Hold On”, both written by Money. Eddie was a relentless promoter and live performer, maintaining a demanding touring schedule up until last Fall. The new Season of Eddie’s reality show “Real Money” on AXS TV just debuted last night with the episode in which Eddie reveals his cancer diagnosis. All of the episodes were shot last fall, so the full season will air. RIP Money Man.
