In a new interview Joe Satriani said he believes that Sammy Hagar will want to regroup their supergroup Chickenfoot because it almost happened for Sammy’s upcoming High Tide Beach Party & Car Show. Chickenfoot featured Satriani along with Hagar, his former Van Halen bandmate bassist Michael Anthony and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Hagar and Anthony have been busy promoting the debut album for their other supergroup The Circle. Satriani said that he and Sammy have been talking, in fact Hagar hired Satriani’s son ZZ to do the longford video for the entire Circle album and then videos for the singles, so Satriani said he’s been continually tied to The Circle. Chickenfoot was almost on the bill for Sammy’s High Tide event but Satriani’s recording schedule presented a conflict.
