The big game is almost here. We all get geared up and the beer will flow, the food will roll out and we will bloat ourselves with a deep fried and cheesy day that rivals the culinary delights of Thanksgiving. The food will be different, but will it be any less decadent. I doubt it.
Odds are that most of us have no rooting interest in either of these teams. I mean, the Patriots are here every year to soil our TV’s during the Super Bowl. The Rams, even California is not sold on them, but they are fun to watch. What all of this means is that we will turn our attention to what is important. The hot wings that will inevitably be served.
How do you like your wings? Are you the kind that has to have them deep fried? Or is it a baked wing for you? Some of us, due to certain heart attacks and requests from the cardiologist, have gone to an air fryer. Which, by the way does a great wing if you try it. Then, there is the grill where many of us turn to for our Super Bowl cooking.
The truth is, there is no right answer on how to cook the little delights. It is up to you and your preference. You don’t even have to go with the traditional hot sauce, you have many options. Some are more likely to go with teriyaki or bbq. We should not judge. We should just gorge ourselves.
Here is a nice little wing recipe for you to get started.
- In large bowl, rub olive oil on chicken wings and then sprinkle on the garlic powder and salt.
- Rub inside of air fryer basket with a little more olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil.
- Place chicken wings in a single layer in basket.
- Cook wings at 360°F for 25 minutes.
- Flip wings over.
Now, cover those babies in your favorite sauce and go watch the Super Bowl commercials.
